AiM MXP 6″ Dash Logger
The AIM MXP has a 6-inch display with high-contrast TFT, and its brightness is controlled by an ambient light sensor to ensure optimal lighting. The MXP has a 10-LED shift light array, which includes a variety of advanced multi-coloured RGB shift light patterns that can be customised to your preference, as well as for each unique gear as needed.
The AiM MXP has a 6-inch display with high-contrast TFT, and its brightness is controlled by an ambient light sensor to ensure optimal lighting. The MXP has a ten-LED shift light array, which includes a variety of advanced multicoloured RGB shift light patterns that can be customised to your preference, as well as for each unique gear as needed.
The TFT Dash Logger can be configured to display processed values in real-time, such as brake bias and calculated gear.
You can create icons to provide information about any events or alarms, with a wide database of popular icons available in the configuration.
You can wirelessly configure, calibrate, and download your data over a secure 802.11 Wi-Fi connection.
An analogue camera input is available, which can be used to swap the display into a mirror camera through pushbutton commands or event management.
The device can record analogue inputs up to 1,000 times per second, and can connect and monitor a wide range of sensors, including ratiometric potentiometers, pressure sensors, thermoresistances, K-type thermocouples, and custom sensors.
The device also features digital inputs for speed signals from the ECU, GPS, and wheel sensors, RPM from the ECU stream or a digital input, and lap signals from GPS or optical receiver/transmitter.
The AiM MXP acquires data from the ECU in your vehicle, and it supports over 1,000 different ECUs, including both stock and racing models. The ECUs are sorted by manufacturer and vehicle model, and the device supports communication protocols including standard OBD-II ones. AiM systems manage the following data lines: CAN, RS-232, and K-Line.
The CAN2 line can manage data from additional modules, such as ABS, traction control, and infrared temperature sensors, which is becoming more common in many racing series.
The internal three-axis accelerometer and gyroscope provide powerful information about the dynamic characteristics of your vehicle, enabling you to measure acceleration forces and gyro rates to improve your vehicle’s performance.
